COLUMBIA CITY — Approximately 15 new voices joined the Whitley Community Children’s Choir (WCCC) at Thursday night’s “try it” event.
A special evening was planned for students who might be interested in singing with WCCC.
Becky Walter, one of the choir’s leaders, called the event “a night to check us out.”
“We just about doubled the amount of voices in our choir tonight,” Walter said. “It is so much fun to see these kids grab a hold of an opportunity like this.”
Children visited the choir at Northern Heights Elementary School, Columbia City, for a no-obligation opportunity to participate with WCCC.
“This was a night of stress-free fun,” said Walter. “It was a good chance for people to see what the choir is all about.”
Whitley Community Children’s Choir is an ensemble of the Fort Wayne Children’s Choir and is in its third year.
