COLUMBIA CITY — Officials took another small step toward a new aquatics facility in Columbia City Monday night.
Columbia City’s Park Board reviewed the work of the aquatics task force, as well as consulting firm Martin Riley, which may have raised more questions than answers.
In the end, the Park Board decided to move on to the next step of the process with Martin Riley, producing a financial model to determine the feasibility of the project. The board also decided what kind of aquatics facility it wants — an outdoor pool with competitive lanes, slides and an area for children, with the option to add on an indoor facility.
