COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City’s Police Department is planning some extra training for officers with their police cars.
The Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) is a program to help officers operate their vehicles under the demanding police patrol conditions.
Columbia City Police Chief Tim Longenbaugh told the Columbia City Common Council last week that the city hasn’t offered EVOC training for a long time, and is looking forward to freshening up its veteran employees on driving maneuvers.
