COLUMBIA CITY — Abby English is a teacher at TROY Center, an alternative education campus that works with students who need more than academic support.
Since 2004, English has taught at TROY, where she is described as “admirable,” “understanding,” and”kind.”
“Abby is patient and dedicated to her students,” said Nicole Trier, administrator for the school. “She truly cares about her students’ progress and success. She is always willing to begin each day with a fresh start.”
Students at TROY receive more than academic instruction. Counselors are on-hand to help develop students emotionally, and all the faculty work together to address individual concerns that range from behavioral issues to food insecurities.
