WHITLEY COUNTY — The Post & Mail’s annual three-part Progress special publication began yesterday, today, and continues the rest of this week.
Beginning with “Giving,” this year’s Progress theme is “Whitley County Pride,” and features several community members, events and successes that should swell the chest of Whitley County residents.
Great perspective is gained when looking back at the journey traveled. Sometimes discouragement can settle in when it feels as if momentum is lagging. However, perspective can reveal that progress is being made.
The same sentiment can be expressed when reviewing the progress made in our own community.
“Progress 2014, Whitley County Pride,” will not only applaud the efforts put forth in the most recent year, but it will look forward to the growth anticipated and the vision painted by so many community leaders.
“It is a publication that I personally am excited to see printed,” said Post & Mail Co-Editor Christie Workman. “I want to see the story of our resident initiative be told, and for it to serve as an example of what other municipalities can do if they are willing for push forward, work together and tap into the pride that is in each resident.”
