WHITLEY COUNTY — Moving is a labor-intensive process, but adding 42 horses into the plan creates a whole host of other concerns.
When Shadarobah Horse Rescue was given notice that it would have to vacate its location in Fort Wayne less than two weeks ago, officials with the nonprofit began a volunteer effort like no other.
“We had people come from all over with horse trailers and trucks to help us relocate 42 horses, two goats and several cats and dogs,” said Michelle Heitz, Shadarobah’s president.
