PIERCETON — Whitko Community School Corporation has taken an aggressive approach to implement technology in the classroom.
Although the district has already made steps in its 1:1 technology plan, school board members are making student achievement a number one goal by expanding the program.
What many schools call 1:1, Whitko has named the Personal Learning System (PLS).
“While 1:1 only states each person gets a device, PLS means not only do they get a device, but what they do with it will become more and more individualized to assist with remediation, regular classroom work and enrichment for students as appropriate,” said Steve Clason, WCSC superintendent.
