FORT WAYNE — Columbia City boys’ track has had to overcome its fair share of odds.
After inclement weather gave the Eagles a late start, Columbia City opened the season Tuesday without its top scorer from a season ago.
Despite it all, the Eagles hit the road to face some of the toughest competition in the Northeast Hoosier Conference.
A see-saw meet at Homestead had Columbia City trailing by as much as nine points early on. The Eagles came back to gain the lead by 13 points at one time.
