FORT WAYNE — The Columbia City Lady Eagles basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak Friday night at North Side.
The Lady Eagles won decisively, 59-44, after falling to Snider, Marion and Leo.
Columbia City jumped out to a 11-0 lead to start the game and held the Lady Redskins to a slim two points in the first quarter off a pair of free throws (19-2).
Macie Hinen got four of her eight points in the last two minutes of the first quarter.
Senior Sidney Bunyan scored four of Columbia City’s 11 second quarter points against North Side.
Bunyan had 10 points, three assists and two steals on the game.
The Lady Eagles led 30-15 at halftime.
Emily Whiteleather had 12 rebounds and nine points.
Both Sarah Opliger and Hinen tallied eight.
The Lady Eagles host Bishop Dwenger Tuesday.
