CHURUBUSCO — It was a first for the Churubusco Fine Arts Program, a tea party, that is.
Thirty-three young girls, one young boy, and a hand-full of moms and dads attended the Royal Tea Party hosted by Cinderella and Prince Charming Saturday at Churubusco High School.
When each participant arrived, the step-mother, portrayed by Peyton Brandt, welcomed each individually on behalf of King Maximillian (Jacob McClure) and Queen Maisie (Caitie Eakins).
Some party goers dressed in their finest attire, jewels and even some glass slippers as they enjoyed tea and cookies.
A portrait with Prince Charming (Cullen Fisher) and Cinderella (Maranda Partin) was taken and presented to each one attending. There was a game of musical chairs, a coloring contest and a royal craft project to take part in.
Winners of the coloring contest were Juliet Pyle, Hannah Decker, Mallory Sphar, Samantha VanEvry, Alyvia and Elaina (last names not submitted). Each winner received two tickets to “Cinderella” that played Friday and Saturday at Churubusco Junior Senior High School.
