Hannah Schaefer, of Columbia City, won the ARTS Talent Showcase singing competition with her performance of “Vanilla Ice Cream” from the broadway musical, “She Loves Me.” She also received an award for photography modeling.
Shaefer attended the ARTS Showcase in Orlando, Fla. with Charmaine Models and Talent Agency. While there, she competed in singing, television commercials, photography modeling, runway modeling, swimsuit modeling, monologue and cold reading.
She is the daughter of Mark and MaryAnn Schaefer and will be a junior at Columbia City High School (CCHS). She has received vocal instruction from Mark Shilling.
Schaefer is active in youth group, CCHS’s show choir and theater programs. She was recently seen at the Fort Wayne Tin Caps game where she sang the National Anthem. Schaefer was also recently in “Honk!” at the Wagon Wheel Theater in Warsaw.
Eleven models and actors from the U.S. and Canada gathered in Orlando for the annual ARTS Showcase.
The competition was held at the Waldorf Astoria/Hilton Bonnet Creek. The ARTS Showcase is respected by fashion and talent professionals who come to the event to scout new talent.
Charmaine Models and Talent were scouted by top fashion and talent agents. They met with them to discuss their career opportunities.
Hannah received call back requests from Take 3 Talent, the New York Conservatory of Drama, RED Models and Walt Disney World Productions.
