Terri Lea Christie, 56, of Columbia City, passed away at 12:01 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at her home.
Born on May 4, 1956, in Marion, she was the daughter of Donald Leslie and Ruby M. (Weber) Reagan.
She spent her childhood in Marion graduating from Marion High School with the Class of 1974.
On Aug. 8, 1981, she married Michael Scott Christie in Marion and they moved to Fort Wayne where he had been appointed as an Allen County Conservation Officer.
She graduated from Purdue University on May 11, 1983, with an associate’s degree in nursing.
She and Mike then moved to Columbia City and she spent the remainder of her lifetime in Columbia City.
She went on to earn a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in August 1997.
Terri worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne, Whitley County Memorial Hospital and 10 years at Grossnickle Eye Center in Warsaw.
She was a member of Columbia City United Methodist Church and a former Girl Scout Leader.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Michael Scott Christie of Columbia City; two daughters, Erin Michelle and Jennifer Leigh Christie both of Columbia City; mother, Ruby Mae (Don) Wyatt of Marion; father, Donald Leslie (Nancy) Reagan of Marion; three sisters, Annette Ziegler and Mary (Dick) Wells both of Marion and Wendy Reagan of Jackson, Ky.; sister-in-law, Dawn Reagan of Marion and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Wes Reagan and brother-in-law, Darl Ziegler.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home with either Pastor David Arnold and Pastor Kent Lundy officiating.
Memorials may be given in memory of Mrs. Christie to the donor’s choice of charity.
