COLUMBIA CITY — While the Blue River Trail project is still progressing, the city asks local residents to keep away from the bridge and trail until next spring.
“The project looks very nice, and I’ve received several calls from people who are interested in it,” said Columbia City Park Director Mark Green. “But we’ve also had a lot of people walking on the trail.”
During the Columbia City Park Board meeting Monday, the board discussed its thoughts about people using the trail before it is completed.
“The general consensus is that we would really prefer people to stay off of the trail until next spring, and we caution the public not to use it,” said Mayor Ryan Daniel.
