COLUMBIA CITY — A woman arrested on drug charges in 2012 will have a trial date set for June in Whitley County Circuit Court.
Aretha Wheeler, 31, was arrested in November for allegedly dealing a schedule 2 controlled substance, a Class B felony.
Case reports say Wheeler allegedly sold eight pills on Sept. 23. She was accused of knowlingly delivering hyrocodone. The report said a buyer met Wheeler at a room at Budget Inn in Columbia City. The alleged incident was recorded by audio.
Wheeler’s pretrial conference will be March 25 at 9 a.m. Angela Hendrickson is Wheeler’s attorney.
In other court news, Ukena Pritchard, 35, will serve the rest of her original sentence in Whitley County Jail.
Pritchard was on probation and admitted to violating it by not notifying her probation officer that she changed addresses in December 2012. Files also alleged that she violated probation by testing positive for methamphetamine.
Pritchard was on probation from intial charges dating back to 2011. In June of 2011, she was sentenced for possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
“She wants to do her time and move on with her life,” said attorney Brad Baber.
