BOARD OF WORKS: Eagle Glen water main project put on hold

COLUMBIA CITY — Eagle Glen residents will see improvements to their water service — however, not immediately.A decision to accept a contract from an engineering firm was tabled at the most recent Board of Works meeting.Water Department Superintendent Mike Dear requested bids from four different engineering firms. He recommended the city choose DLZ at a cost of $59,400.The decision was tabled because board members did not feel there was sufficient data to decide.“I feel like I have been left out of the information loop,” Walt Crowder said.Crowder and Dan Weigold were the only two members at that meeting, as Mayor Ryan Daniel was absent.
