CITY TO PUT $100K INTO UPKEEP: Curb, sidewalk, crack seal to improve roadways

Columbia City’s Street Department is taking on two projects this summer that will total $100,000.After a harsh winter, many roads across Northeast Indiana have been left cracked, and Columbia City is no different. The Columbia City Street Department received two bids, with Pavement Solutions being the lowest bidder at $37,180. Officials said the work is essential for street maintenance. The second project is for a curb and sidewalk on a city side street.The new sidewalk and curb will be on Washington Street, and run from Jefferson Street to Ellsworth Street.
