COLUMBIA CITY – Columbia City Rotary Club’s luncheon meeting this week was very special, thanks to a beautifully orchestrated program directed by Rotarian Mike Rush.
The occasion was to honor Dale Pence, who recently retired from the local Rotary Club after serving for 63 straight years.
Serving a master of ceremonies, Mike Rush began with some introductory remarks.
“The year was 1955. Albert Einstein died that year, the federal minimum hourly wage was raised by law from 75 cents to one dollar. And the number one song in America was: “Rock Around The Clock.”
