Cancer can rob a woman of her energy, appetite and strength, but it doesn’t have to take away her self confidence. Look Good . . . Feel Better (LGFB) is dedicated to improving the self-esteem and quality of life of women undergoing treatment for cancer. The program is designed to help improve women’s self-image and appearance through complimentary group, individual, and self-help beauty sessions that create a sense of support, confidence, courage and community.
The group program is open to all women with cancer who are undergoing chemotherapy, radiation or other forms of active treatment. A friend or caregiver may attend as well, but make-up kits will only be made available to women undergoing treatment.
A local volunteer cosmetologist has volunteered to participate in the Whitley County program. She has been trained and certified by ACS, NCA and the CTFA Foundation at a regional workshop.
The Whitley County workshop will be conducted at the Community Foundation of Whitley County, 400 N. Whitley St., Columbia City.
