Staff Writer

COLUMBIA CITY — The state of Columbia City is thriving, said Columbia City Mayor Ryan Daniel, who gave his annual address Friday afternoon March 15.
“It is thriving because we have strong, measured growth. It is thriving because we have a safe and affordable community. It is thriving because we have stable utilities that can be depended on. It is thriving because we have people who truly care about one another. It is thriving because we are making investments into improving the quality of life for all citizens. And it is thriving because residents can make a better life for themselves and their families right here in Columbia City,” he said.
His address focused on the successes of last year while also looking ahead to the plans for this year to secure a prominent future for the city.
