RECIPE OF THE WEEK: Chicken fettuccini alfredo

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo
12 oz. pkg. fettuccini noodles
3/4 c. half and half cream
1/3 c. butter
3/4 c. grated fresh Parmesan cheese
1/3 c. cooked broccoli florets
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
2 cooked boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into two inch pieces
1/3 c. sweet red onion
sliced almonds, optional

Prepare fettuccini as directed on package, drain. Saute onion in saucepan until tender. Return noodles to saucepan then add cream, butter, cheese, broccoli, salt, pepper, chicken. Carefully toss together until well blended. Serve immediately, garnish each serving with almonds.
