RECIPE OF THE WEEK: Cinnamon roll-ups

Cinnamon Roll-ups
1 large loaf sandwich bread, sliced
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 sticks butter, melted
1 egg yolk
1 1/2 c. plus 1/4 cup sugar, divided
3 Tbsp. cinnamon

Trim crust from bread and roll flat with a rolling pin. Beat egg yolk, cream cheese and 1/4 cup sugar. Spread on each slice of bread. Roll each slice tightly and dip in melted butter. Mix 1 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon, roll each buttered roll in it. Freeze on cookie sheet, seam side down, overnight. Bake as needed in 400 degree oven for 15 minutes. Makes about 2 dozen roll-ups.
