TRIBUTE: Lincoln Highway is a cross-country memorial

Driving through Whitley County, you may have seen signs depicting President Abraham Lincoln, like the newer sign erected on Jolly Street and other locales in Columbia City.
These signs are more than an outline for the legendary Lincoln Highway, but are snapshots telling part of our nation’s rich automobile history.
The Lincoln Highway was conceived as a coast-to-coast memorial to America’s 16th President Abraham Lincoln.
