Local McDonald's offers breakfast to law enforcement
Recently, staff with the Columbia City McDonald’s provided breakfast and coffee for the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department, conservation officers and the Columbia City Police Department. October is National Coffee with a Cop month, and representatives of McDonald's said it "didn’t want to miss out in celebrating our hometown heroes so we brought breakfast and coffee to them. The last in-store Coffee with a Cop event was Jan. 25, 2020 where each officer was provided with a free breakfast, each adult guest with a free small coffee and each child with a free cookie. The next in-store event will be at the New Haven McDonalds, 7502 W SR 930, restaurant on Nov. 12 from 9-11 a.m., where customers will receive a free small brewed coffee and an opportunity to talk to local law enforcement about their concerns in the community including the Indiana State Police, local sheriff’s department and the city police.
