On Saturday, Nov. 12 runners from across Indiana, and even from out-of-state gathered in downtown Columbia City for the annual Veteran's Marathon, Half-Marathon and Heroes 5K. The weather was cold, and soon after beginning the snow started to fall, but runners continued with the race, all while raising money for local emergency services and veteran's groups. This year, a portion of the proceeds went to the Whitley County Sheriff's Department and AmVets No. 2919.
