This past weekend, March 4, saw schools gathering in Churubusco for its annual show choir invitational. Middle school show choirs began the day with Northwood, Riverview/Crestview, Fairfield, Carroll, Maple Creek and Beaver Creek. Women's show choirs competing included Columbia City, Huntington North, Homestead and Fairfield. In the mixed show choir division, taking home the top prize was Huntington North, with Homestead second, followed by Beavercreek, Columbia City, Fairfield and Shelbyville. Also competing was Garrett. During the day, both Churubusco's junior high show choir New Generation and high school group New Era showcased their competition shows. This coming weekend, Churubusco will be traveling for the FAME competition in Orlando. Columbia City show choirs will host its own invitational at the high school.
